Thanks for the guitar lesson. I had forgotten the chords. Tell ya, the kids I see out here (friends of my children) have damn good taste in music. They tend a little toward metal but they know their history are always eager to hear old stuff that’s new to them.
My youngest and her friends are very frustratingly opposite. Forgive me if I’ve told this story before, but they like a band called The Kooks. Hearing of them, I told them I’ll bet they’re named after the Bowie “Hunky Dory” song. A quick Wiki check proved that out. Do you think they’d be interested in hearing the Bowie song? Not a bit.
So much of the stuff they listen to is very Bowie and very Bolan (does everything sound like Bolan to me anymore? I’m beginning to worry) and some slightly Ramones. But they have no interest whatsoever in what came before.

My eldest is mired in the land of rap and trap.
