Meh to both.
A trillion bands have that Austin band’s sound. Maybe this is why I never thought The Replacements were as great as everyone else.
Saw the DK’s in Catasauqua, PA at the locally legendary Catty Playground building – probably the biggest Lehigh Valley Hardcore show ever. Never thought of them as a great hardcore band, although they, like the early Sweet, have their moments (“California Uber Alles” “Holiday In Cambodia” etc.). Never cared for that unpowerful twangy sound in the hardcore setting.

The best thing about the DK’s is their titles.
Thx Gene. That was the difference: the difference between the Austin and SF song titles I posted. I wasn’t really thinking beyond that.
