Really liked the Undertones a lot from the beginning until who knows and I remember this song very well. But they don’t do anything for me now. Very strange, because I’ve tried to rekindle the fire several times. Always thought Feargal Sharkey looked like Dee Dee Ramone.
When I heard this I thought it must have been a different band with the same name. After a few listens I started picking up the guitars from their early singles, but this tune is a total departure in terms of style. I’m sure there is a reason for that. It was also their last single for Sire, before they signed with EMI.
By the way, Lawr’s going to provide music for the annual LABR poker game and a LABRite asked that Lawr be sure to bring some Boz Scaggs song. Thank God for Remnants and not having to live in the musical real world.

Pretty prim. They went pop quickly didn’t they?

Just play Loan Me A Dime over and over. You can’t hate that too much.
