It sounds like the Hollies of the Long Cool Woman phase, which would be 1972.They were doing their take on Creedence.
Yeah, I guess I didn’t think it seemed quite so close to Long Cool Woman. But this was from a 1976 album that also contained this.

I’m late to the party here but the voice is unmistakably Hollies.
