I’ve listened to each of their albums. Once. I totally understand why people like the sound, but I find nothing compelling about the songs or presentation or anything else. It seemed a little cultish and self justifying. So I moved on. I used to feel the same way about Pearl Jam, who have a similarly dense jammy feel with a droning keen-y singer. But I fell for Pearl Jam when I saw them live, even though I never cottoned to the albums. Maybe I have a similar Arcade Fire experience in my future. But for now, I’m underwhelmed.
I like this, there is a roxy-esque feel to it.
